Bodicote Cricket Club
is based in the village of Bodicote, just South of Banbury in North
Oxfordshire.
We run two Saturday teams that play
in the South Northants Cricket League, a very well run league which has attracted teams from
Our home ground is Kingsfield in White Post Road where cricket has been played since before the Second World War. The field was bequeathed to the village in the early 1960s and is managed, along with the village hall, by the Bodicote Welfare Fund.
As well as regular fixtures the club also organises a number of social events during the year including a long running Beaujolais Golf Challenge against Grendon Underwood CC each November. We also tour annually and through this have ensured the club appears in cricket's bible Wisden - see page 911 of the 1994 edition which notes we lost to Elizabeth College Guernsey in June 1993.
